2010 Season & OHPPBT info!
Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know about some of the Big Changes since our fall 2009 meeting @ the Caney Fork Fish Camp. I listened to several suggestions from emails, phone calls and members who attended the meeting. The number one concern of our members was how long the weigh in took. People also said they could not see or hear the weights. We also had people request all weights and points be posted on the web site. We also did not have a set of back up scales. Another was the darkness at Percy Priest in the morning and how it makes it tough to sign up in the morning. The good news is that we tried to address all concerns. I listened and here is what we are doing to change for the better. I will now have a team of 6 - 7 people (the same people all year) to help with the weigh in and check in. We will be getting a small, ultra quiet Yamaha Generator at near cost from Anderson Marine. This is to run a set of lights at the Percy Priest Tournaments as well as my lap top & the new scales. Yes we have purchased Pro Tournament Scales complete system along with Taysys Software to use with them. This means that in 2010 the check in will be done on the computer wireless from the scales. When you bring your fish to the scales all we have to do is click on your boat number and your weight is placed there automatically. It will calculate big fish winners as well. There will also be a remote LED display for all to see the weights as they happen. This new sysytem will be able to be posted to the web for all weights & points for every participant who fishes. This system will make the weigh in go much faster. Our old scales will be our back up scales. These are the same exact scales that are used in the FLW, BFL, Bassmasters, WBT, and most other large organizations. I hope you can see we are continuing to keep this the hottest tournament in Middle Tennessee. We have our 2010 sponsors posted . We are working to update info and other pages. Please be patient and we will have it all up and running in plenty of time for 2010. We also have our printable 2010 schedule available now on line. We are currently accepting 2010 membership form and will be up until 10 minutes prior to blast-off of the March 6th tournament of 2010. You are now able to to download the 2010 OHPPBT membership form of this site. You may also pick them up at Riverside Marine, Anderson Marine, Team Marine, Stones River Fiberglass, Ace Hardware of Mt.Juliet and Poindexter Bait Co. Once your form is filled out completely and signed you can then mail it in. Send a check payable to OHPPBT via mail to P.O. Box 92, Madison TN 37116. We will have another pre-tournament meeting sometime in January the date and time is to be announced. We are proud to announce our support of Fishing For Kids in late 2009 and in 2010.
We are gearing up for the 2010 season with a lot of returning sponsors and several new ones. We are expecting more growth than ever before. We will continue to offer the best fishing tournament value in the the Nashville Tenneessee area. We will be fishing on two new lakes and the 2010 annual OHPPBT membership fee will remain the same as last year. The annual membership will be $25.00 for the year. We will have better drawing prize bags than ever. We will have 13 regular points tournaments, 2 non-points members only away tournaments, and a 2 day fish off. You will have to fish 8 total tournaments (of any combination) to qualify for the 2010 fish off. Just as previous years the Fish Off entry will be $25.00 for the 2 day event plus $3.00 per missed tournament up to 13 tournaments. (example if you fished 7 points, and 1 non-points tournaments you qualify to fiish the fish off. You would pay the $25.00 entry plus $3.00 x 5=$15.00 (missed tournaments) for a total of $40.00. If you fished 13 tournaments your fish off entry would be $25.00. The regular tournaments will be $25.00 per person with 2 persons max per boat. Your entry fee will include one ticket good for the prize drawing. If you wish to have more chances to win you can get an additional ticket with a $5.00 donation. We will have similar prizes to what we had last year plus new additions from new sponsors to be announced. We will update our website and sponsor updates by Jan. 1, 2009. I did listen to opinions through out the year and did not have any 4am or night tournaments. New and returning membership forms will be accepted from Jan. 1st 2010 through 10 minutes prior to the March 6th blast off. We are also fishing a little later in the year to avoid other fish offs.
